Are all vehicles equipped with an EGR valve?

Not all vehicles are equipped with an Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) valve. The EGR system is designed to reduce nitrogen oxide (NOx) emissions by recirculating a portion of an engine's exhaust back into the combustion chamber. While many gasoline and diesel vehicles, particularly those produced to meet stringent emissions standards, do include an EGR system, there are exceptions.

Certain older vehicles or those with simpler engine designs may not have an EGR valve. Additionally, some new technologies, such as direct injection systems, may use alternative methods for controlling emissions and may not require an EGR system. Furthermore, hybrid and electric vehicles operate without internal combustion engines and thus do not use EGR valves at all.
